Ganesh Chaturthi back story.
Ganesh festival was started by Lokmanya Tilak in 1893 in order to increase the public gatherings against the British law. Ganesh utsav is celebrated on account of praising the birth of Lord Ganesh. The festival of Anant Chaturthi falls in the month of August or September is decided according to the observations in the Hindu calendar. Ganesh Utsav will be celebrated on 10th September in 2021.

Usually
Ganapati Visarjan (immersing of the Lord's idol in water)
is done after 10 days but it depends on the tradition, few culture follow a tradition of 1 day, some for 1 week, some for 20 days, while some even practice it for 100 days. During the festival food greeted by prayers to Lord Ganesh is distributed among all the individuals as a blessing from Lord Ganesh. Most of the people take this festival as a part of a new beginning in their life as they bring Lord Ganesh in their house to greet him and release the idol in a manner of a Sendoff to Lord Ganesh on Anant Chaturdashi.

• Making and selling idol's of Lord Ganesh.
Many people from various states of India travel to major cities in search of earnings, so most of them get involved in the sculpting business of hindu God's and Goddesses idol's which had an uprise every year.
• Selling of the Sweet's required as prashad after prayers of Lord Ganesh.
Many hindu God's and Goddesses love various types of sweets, fruits or even food items to eat so these items are presented as prashad to greet the God/Goddess similarly Lord Ganesh loved eating modaks and laddoos, so as these sweets are difficult to make many cooks could take advantage of this situation to earn for their living.
• Selling decorative items and decorating house for greeting Lord Ganesh idol.
This idea is most trending because of the increase in work load many people don't get time to decorate their house, so there is a tremendous opportunity to become a decoration artist and to deduct their unemployment.
• Transportation and entertainment facilities required in the festival.
Many people are organizing this festival as an event, so they focus on entertainment by story telling through skits or automated robots or by means of audio (using dj's)and video (showing stories using projector), so many talented youths can take such projects to built up their skills in event management sector.
• Selling ingredients required for the puja of Lord Ganesh.
During Ganesh festival season many people buy ingredients such as agarbatti's, oil cotton deya, Camphor, matchsticks, required for Ganesh puja are in huge demand during such festivals, many people involved in micro level industries took advantage of such festivals.
Many people of India are uneducated but they are earning millions by getting involved in such businesses, so if they could, why can't the other educated and unemployed youth of our country? There is always a positive approach in negative situations.
